You Create Your Own Reality. It's so simple! Isn't it? Part 1/3

"You Create Your Own Reality", "Law of Attraction". You may have heard of these terms and concepts. You probably already may have tried to live by these principles and given up at some point, because it seemed too difficult or too time-consuming. Or because you were not able to succeed and at some point you thought it was just nonsense. That would be a pity, because then you would probably close one of the greatest opportunities of your life.

"You just have to finally change your attitude towards life and your thoughts, then your life will change accordingly". While it is indeed this simple rule to follow, we are actually faced with not insignificant challenges in our daily lives that get in the way of successfully achieving our dreams and goals. Let's shed some light on them.

The reasons are manifold - three stand out in particular

1. We are optimized for life, survival and experience in the physical world

One of the biggest difficulties in implementing the "law of attraction" is undoubtedly that the statements seem to be so diametrically opposed to our daily life experience. Our sensory organs, the functioning of our brain and thus all our sensory perceptions and experiences are perfectly adapted to our familiar three-dimensional, material world, which runs in a linear temporal sequence.

Our daily experiences are largely based on the laws of classical physics, the tangibility, duality and causality of all things. The law of attraction, on the other hand, is more at the level of quantum physics and quantum mechanics. The idea that everything should exist simultaneously in an Eternal Now and that we can attract, manifest and experience desired realities through our thoughts and expectations therefore seems incredible to us. It is also undeniable: Hardly anyone will suddenly meet the love of their life in the morning if, after getting up, they quickly give the universe the order to please deliver by midday. As a rule, we don't suddenly have a million dollars or euros in our bank account or a Ferrari in front of our house just because we were expecting it. And even if you are absolutely convinced that nothing will happen to you, you should never jump off a bridge into a ravine without a safety device.

These tangible and unchangeable experiences have their reasons for being the way they are. This is the only way we can have certain experiences as humans and as individuals on this earth. As humans, for example, we do not have the wings to fly over a ravine like an eagle and have to think of detours and alternatives and use other strengths to have certain desired experiences and achieve certain goals. But even within the human race, the starting conditions from birth could hardly be more different and entail the most diverse challenges and opportunities with regard to our individual goals. In which country, in which historical period, in which family, with which social status etc. we are born, for example, or which individual strengths, weaknesses and interests we bring with us from birth, are conditions over which we have no influence with our human ego consciousness from birth. They are part of our individual starter set, with which we embark on the adventure of life and can thus have a wide variety of experiences and achieve certain goals in a very individual way.

In addition to these rigid limitations, there are countless obstacles in life that one can overcome with time and effort. However, this requires a certain level of development and patience. In such cases, it's common to dismiss the law of attraction as nonsense due to unrealistic expectations or impatience. A simple comparison from the animal kingdom can illustrate this point: A young bird may feel mentally empowered to leave the nest and fly, seeing its wings and observing other birds flying daily. Despite its confidence, it may not embark on long journeys or even fall from the tree. The bird lacks practice; its muscles need time to develop and be trained for flight. Similarly, overcoming life's challenges requires patience and effort.

While such comparisons may seem stretched at times, this basic principle applies to all aspects of our lives.

All these limitations and laws of our three-dimensional material world are, so to speak, the framework within which we can unfold and have the experiences that we need to have for our development. However, as already mentioned, these unalterable conditions can often reinforce our idea that the law of attraction cannot be true. And even if we want to believe it, deep down we often do have certain doubts. Which in turn will lead to our experience of the law of attraction confirming exactly that: that it doesn't work. Or the results are so unclear and uncertain that they precisely reflect our doubts.

In the second part of this blog series, we will look at a further important reason why we are often unable or barely able to apply the law of attraction to our benefit and therefore give up consciously implementing it at some point.
